Hello world.

This blog is a little 'experiment' of mine, to see how long I manage before I call it quits.

It's also an excuse to talk about and recommend books, and any other things that take my fancy (including but not limited to: TV, movies, anime [sorry, it's a category of its own], music, or even art [e.g. book covers]). I'm clearly new to this, but I'm hoping that my shortfalls will be outshone by the subject matter. Apologies in advance for typos, bad grammar, and generally poor English.

A lot of posts will probably be really rushed. My main purpose is to give it attention.

My reading preferences, which you may get to know, depending on how persistent I am in keeping this blog:

• Children's and YA
• Speculative (mostly fantasy)
• Science- and maths-related non-fiction

I try to branch out, but unfortunately I'm not one of those people who can really call themselves 'widely read' or 'well-read'. My rather primitive reading philosophy is that life is too short to make myself read what I don't feel like reading.

So if that sounds noteworthy to you, it'd be great if you can have a look around, and maybe find something interesting!

And this should go without saying, but all opinions are mine, and while I'll try my best to be nice, please don't get offended if I say something you don't like.
